Spiritual Starvation

When the German military entered the Soviet Union they found many of the people in a state of spiritual starvation.  The Communist government had not only destroyed churches and synagogues but had endeavored to ban the practice of religious expression.  Religious groups found themselves forced to meet in secret or face deportation to Siberia.  With the German military came the German Chaplains.   There are some photos of them ministering to the local people as shown here.  The photo and the text is to draw a parallel to here and now.  Many people in today's world are spiritually starved and seek to "feed" this hunger with things of this world.   There is nothing wrong with enjoying ones life and hobby; but is that all there is for you?  Are you suffering from spiritual starvation?   SOLDAT FHQ is happy to be one of the suppliers to those interested in German military replica items,  however I am convinced that SOLDAT FHQ  is also a place to share with you the real solution to spiritual starvation.

The solution for spiritual starvation is Jesus Christ.

God speaks to us today through the Word of God, the Bible.   The Word of God tells us the beginning and the end of this world; and of the world to come.  The mothers in the photo above craved spiritual food for themselves and their children.  Many of them could not read and depended on the clergy to provide this.  The chaplain in this photo is either reading from the Bible or a Protestant or Catholic book of prayer, all contain scripture and the power of the Lord of the Universe.

The Way to the table is Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16

Who is called to the table?  We all are!

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."  Romans 3:23

"As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one."  Romans 3:10

How do we get seated at the table?

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  Romans 6:23

"But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."  John 1:12

"For I delivered unto you the first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."   I Corinthians 15: 3-4

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him."  Revelations 3:20

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."  Romans 10:13

Sitting down is your choice.   You, and only you, can decide to eat the food of life and end your spiritual starvation.

You must make the decision.  If you want to sit and eat, say this aloud to God: "I am a sinner.  I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross and was raised from the dead for my salvation.   I confess this with my lips and accept Him in my heart as my personal Savior."

Doing this makes you "born again" or "saved."

Knowing it is true.

"That if you shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."  Romans 10:9

"Verily, verily, I say unto you.  He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life,  and shall not cone into condemnation; but is passed from death to life."  John 5:13

"These things I have written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."  I John 5:13

"But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."  John 20:31
