Instituted in October 1942 this was a campaign award for those who had served in assault on Crete.   Members of all service branches - Luftwaffe, Heer or Kriegsmarine - who had participated were eligible.  Detailed from original hand embroidered examples.  Abzeichenamt offers this piece in the heavy thread as well as two private purchase, metal bullion "officer's patterns."  Each $32.50.
